Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is given seven cards faces showing and the dealer is dealt 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
